Bodyshop Panel Beater / MET Technician

£32,000 per annum + performance-related bonus

Frosts Cars is looking for a skilled and motivated Bodyshop Panel Beater / MET Technician to join our team in Shoreham-by-Sea.

This is an excellent opportunity to join an established, independent family-run business and play an important role within our busy aftersales operation.

The Role

As a Bodyshop Panel Beater / MET Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out a range of vehicle body and mechanical repairs to a high standard. You will take pride in the quality of your work and ensure every vehicle is repaired and prepared with care and attention to detail.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out mechanical diagnostic checks before and after repairs.

• Undertaking general mechanical work where required.

• Identifying and ordering the vehicle parts required for repairs.

• Removing, refitting and trimming vehicle body panels.

• Repairing and replacing damaged vehicle body panels.

• Carrying out work efficiently while maintaining consistently high standards.

• Ensuring vehicles are completed safely and to the required standard.

• Working closely with the wider Bodyshop and Aftersales teams to support the smooth running of the department.

What We're Looking For

You will have previous experience working in an automotive Bodyshop environment, either within a franchise or independent business.

You should be a well-organised and motivated individual who enjoys working in a busy environment and takes genuine pride in the quality of your work.

You will be:

A full UK driving licence is essential for this role.

Skills & Experience

Previous experience as a Panel Beater, MET Technician or within a vehicle body repair environment is essential.

The following would also be advantageous:

• ATA accreditation or an NVQ Level 3 qualification.

• Welding experience.

Welding experience is not essential, and training can be provided for the right candidate.

Salary & Benefits

• £32,000 per annum

Working Hours

• Monday to Friday: 8:00am – 5:00pm

• Saturday: 8:30am – 12:30pm, every other Saturday
