Used Car Sales Consultant

£25,000 basic salary + uncapped commission

Are you an experienced automotive Sales Consultant with a successful and consistent sales track record? Or are you currently working in a sales role in another industry and looking for an exciting opportunity to build a career in the motor trade?

Frosts Cars is looking for a motivated and customer-focused Used Car Sales Consultant to join our busy team in Shoreham-by-Sea.

This is an exciting opportunity to work for a successful, independent family-run business and sell a wide range of quality used cars and vans.

The Role

As a Used Car Sales Consultant, you will be responsible for guiding customers through their vehicle-buying journey and delivering the high level of service Frosts Cars is known for.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Selling used cars and vans from our extensive stock.

• Maximising sales opportunities while delivering an excellent customer experience.

• Selling finance and additional products, including extended warranties, paint protection and service plans.

• Managing the complete sales process, from initial enquiry through to vehicle handover.

• Providing customers with a comprehensive handover and briefing on their new vehicle and its controls.

• Building and maintaining strong relationships with new and existing customers.

• Maintaining accurate customer records and vehicle documentation.

• Working as part of a busy and supportive sales team to achieve individual and team objectives.

What We're Looking For

You will be a confident, professional and self-motivated individual with a genuine passion for sales and delivering excellent customer service.

Previous experience in a sales role is essential, with automotive or used vehicle sales experience highly desirable.

This role could also be ideal for someone who has previously worked in the motor industry, perhaps within a main dealer environment, and is looking to return to selling used vehicles.

You should be:

• A confident and capable salesperson with a proven track record.

• Highly motivated and driven to achieve results.

• Comfortable building relationships with customers.

• Professional, organised and able to manage your own workload.

• A strong communicator with excellent customer service skills.

• Accurate and confident when completing customer and vehicle documentation.

A full UK driving licence is essential for this role.

Salary & Benefits

• £25,000 basic salary

• Commission on every vehicle sold

• Commission on additional products, including extended warranties, paint protection and service plans

• 20 days' annual holiday

One of the great advantages of selling used vehicles from stock is that your hard work is rewarded when the vehicle is sold. Unlike many new car sales roles, where lengthy vehicle delivery times can delay commission payments, our Used Car Sales Consultants sell vehicles that are available and ready for customers.

Working Hours

• Monday to Friday: 9:00am – 6:00pm, working 4 days per week

• Saturday: 9:00am – 5:00pm

• Sunday: 10:00am – 4:00pm, on rota
