We are seeking an Accounts Assistant to provide maternity leave cover on a fixed-term basis for one year. This is a full-time role supporting the day-to-day finance function and would suit someone with practical accounts experience and good attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

Purchase Ledger

• Processing supplier invoices and credit notes
• Reconciling supplier statements and accounts
• Handling supplier queries
• Preparing and processing supplier payments

Sales Ledger

• Inputting sales invoices and credit notes
• Debt management and control
• Reconciling credit card receipts

Bank and Cash

• Posting bank and cash transactions from statements into the bookkeeping system
• Assisting with routine reconciliations

Skills and Experience

• Previous experience as an accounts assistant or similar finance role
• Basic working knowledge of spreadsheets (Excel or Google Sheets)
• Experience using Pinnacle/Platform (Pinewood accounting software) is desirable but not essential
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Experience in the automotive industry is desired but not essential

£28,000-30,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Monday – Friday 08:30-17:30 (flexibility can be discussed at interview stage)
